Leaving the Church

Just a real quick thought...  I was digging around on Living Waters website (the people who were kind enough to bring us the "Goodness Test").

I saw this statistic that caught my eye:

Eighty-eight percent of children raised in evangelical homes leave church at the age of eighteen never to return.

Hmmm... Makes one wonder what's wrong with this picture.  Why are children supposedly steeped in the faith bolting from it at the first opportunity without turning back?  Makes me wonder what's wrong with the message they (we) are being given.
